Évora - a World Heritage Site

From 77/Pax

Évora – World Heritage Region

The Story of Évora has more than two thousand years. Its well-preserved historic center is one of the most important of Portugal.

We will start the trip from your hotel. Once we arrive at Evora, we will visit the historic center that is where all churches and squares are, you will have the chance to visit the Graça Church (from the Renaissance period), Giraldo Square, Espirito Santo Church and the Old Castle.

After that, we will visit the Largo da Porta Moura with its Manueline window. And then we will leave the village to visit the Megalithic Enclosure of Almendres (where you will find the largest collection of standing stones of the Iberian Peninsula’s).

For lunch, we can recommend a restaurant within your requirements so you can enjoy with typical “Alentejana” food.

After lunch we will go to São Pedro do Corval.

There you will see the traditional potteries of Alentejo. And we will end with a visit to Castle of Monsaraz where you can enjoy the breathtaking landscape of Alqueva.

On our return to Lisbon, we will enter the city by the Vasco da Gama Bridge.
