Lagos + Sagres + Aljezur 01

Get picked up from your accommodation and start your private tour toward Lagos – a pretty coastal city in the Western Algarve region of Portugal, known for its beautiful beaches and historic old town. The city is home to many landmarks and attractions, including the Church of St. Anthony, the Lagos Marina, and the Lagos Cultural Center.

Continuing your full day private tour, your driver will take you to Sagres which is the most westerly town of the Algarve and is a destination for visitors who appreciate nature’s raw beauty. The huge Atlantic Ocean waves that pound the cliffs and beaches have drawn experienced surfers to Sagres and this has allowed the town to gain an unobtrusive cool vibe.

The Cabo Sao Vicente is the most westerly tip of mainland Europe and is a wind-blasted headland, with huge cliffs that fall away to raging seas. Generally, most people come to admire the dramatic scenery and unless an extended hike is planned no visit to Cabo Sao Vicente will be longer than 30 minutes. The high vantage point of the lighthouse combined with the bright beam means that the light can be seen up to 50km away in harbor/town/beach and the Fortaleza de Sagres fort.

The Sagres fortress is located at the southern tip of the Sagres Peninsula and this uniquely designed fort protected the town from raiders from North Africa. It was from here that Henry the Navigator devised his 15th-century expeditions to the uncharted seas around the western side of Africa, which heralded in the golden Age of Portugal exploration.

The lighthouse Sagres’ is the most luminous in Europe, it’s light stretches to see 32 nautical miles, which is the equivalent of about 60 Kilometers. It was built in 1846.

The town is home to many historic buildings and landmarks, including the Aljezur Castle and the Church of Our Lady of the Conception.

We had a wonderful experience with 4U2Enjoy, and have nothing but compliments for this company, but really for the people we interacted with. We decided to use them based on the reviews we read on this site (which we don't always fully trust), but in this case, the reviews were 100% accurate. Ricardo was extremely helpful and communicative from the moment we reached out to him a few weeks before arriving in Portugal. We spoke to him in person and he helped us design 2 different customized tours. I felt from the first time I interacted with him that this was a very personal company with very personal service, and that was exactly our experience during the planning process as well as during the tours. We were met at the airport and transported to Porto in a luxury vehicle. We were fortunate to have Miguel as our driver and tour guide, and he was incredible. For such a young man, he is extremely knowledgeable and professional. It is clear that he is passionate about his job and his enthusiasm in sharing his country with us was amazing, not to mention the amount of knowledge he has...there was not one question we asked him that he didn't know the answer to, and we asked a lot of them! We spent the entire day with him after landing in Lisbon, jet lagged and having only spent a few hours sleeping on the plane, yet we were able to really enjoy the long day which included three different short city tours and an incredible authentic Portuguese lunch in Nazare. It ended up being one of the best days we had while in Portugal, and we were fortunate to have another opportunity to drive back to Lisbon with Miguel stopping in other places along the way. We will definitely use this company again for any transportation or touring we do next time we are in Portugal and highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking the same.

Who would’ve thought that a car trip from Porto to Lisbon would be one of the highlights of our family trip to Portugal?! I arranged our itinerary with Ricardo who was extremely responsive and helpful. Our tour guide and driver, Carlos, picked us up at our hotel in Porto in an immaculately clean Mercedes van and drove us to Lisbon with stops at Coimbra, Nazare and Obidos along the way. Carlos is very knowledgeable about Portugal and gave us a great overview of the country’s history and geography. He also provided us with helpful information about each city we visited. Ricardo arranged a lunch for us at a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean in Nazare. What an amazing way to travel between the two cities! I can’t recommend Ricardo and Carlos more highly!

What started off as a transfer from Lisbon to Porto turned into a dream vacation! I first contacted 4u2enjoy in 2019 and booked a driver for a transfer from Lisbon to Porto stopping along the way. Unfortunately, our trip was for 2020 and we had to cancel...4u2enjoy canceled our booking without any difficulty. Because of this hassle free experience, when we were ready to try again we contacted 4u2enjoy to make arrangements for a 2022 trip.

After talking with Ricardo, what started as just a transfer became transfers, tours and hotels! Everything he suggested and every arrangement was spectacular! From the beautiful boutique hotels, winetastings, sailing trips and each driver was beyond our expectations! Each experience and location was special and unique.

The only "kink", which really wasn't a kink was using a credit card....this was an issue on our side. Ricardo was great figuring things out and problem solved!

Ricardo went above and beyond! Every detail was taken care of. This vacation, starting in Lisbon, then to Porto, Douro Valley and ending in Cascais was truly made exceptional by the hard work of Ricardo. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending 4u2enjoy!

Ricardo was more than accommodating! His help and service was 5 star. He coordinated so many things for us, was there to make sure we made our activities. We had 3 drivers that were personable, safe and kind. Jakim (totally did not spell this correctly) was my favorite although the other two drivers were safe and informative on our drives from city to city. I can’t say enough about Ricardo’s service. He was always available to text or call for any questions or suggestions. I would totally reserve his services again when in Portugal!
